Handed Down From Within

Could it be true that we are in fact eternal beings having a temporary human experience? This is something I think and feel about almost on a daily basis.
I was sitting on my bedroom floor like I do almost every morning as part of my daily routine. I find myself falling into meditation lately and allowing the dream world of the past night to dissipate into the distance, instead of setting a specific time for prayer. Dreams are a funny phenomenon in that they present an experience seemingly so real and vivid, but in an instant the memories fade into nothingness. Just because we may not currently remember something, it doesn't mean it isn't so. That statement rings true for what was to arrive in the coming moments. While continuing to sit in meditation on the floor an affirmation came forth and spoke: "I'm here for a little while on this Planet Earth. I am a visitor to this beautiful wonderland. I chose to come here for a little while." I then suddenly bursted into the most extreme laughter. This was not an ordinary laughter, mind you. It crept its face up slowly and up and out very fast, up and down several times. It felt like a wave oscillating throughout my entire being. I was overcome with a heart full of joy. It was as if I allowed myself to open my heart to who I really am and allowed the love to just come pouring out. It felt like a laughter of awakening. A truth laugh if you will, sending shock waves of relief through each and every cell in my body. I had felt this feeling before while reading a book, but this was on a much higher level.  It is oh so hard to put into words what I was feeling that morning. I knew what came forth was true and real. It's becoming crystal clear to me to begin to trust my own experiences and to go forth with everything I do with complete confidence and assurance.

I find that this blog can be a vehicle to share my own experiences and my creative portraits as well. I actually have two to share today and hope you all enjoy them. I decided to redraw these in color so to have more flavor. The top one in blue has a very grounding and balancing vibe, while the one below it feels very very spacey and out there! Let me know what you think of these. May they point you to what you need to know and who we all really are. May you stay at peace and be well. Until next time, Namaste.

Hello World!

I would like to start off this blog by first saying I love humanity, this beautiful Earth we live on and all of the stars in the universe. I have seemingly discovered the creativity that has decided to express itself through me.  I would love to point out this very creative intelligence resides within all of us. For we are all dancing in the web of intelligent design. I had no idea all of this art would come pouring through me dating back to 2011. I at first did not see them as works of art, but tools of medicine.

Within the past several months I have been consciously tapping into the creative force and really discovering and getting to know the artist that I really am. When I draw most times it is somewhat of a ceremony that I hold with myself and Spirit. I set my intention on connection with Spirit to create a communal experience of creativity. I have been inspired by Alex Grey and his spectacular works of magic. One of the very first times I decided to really tap in I stumbled across his beautiful artist's prayer on The CoSM website:

Universal Creativity,
Flow through me,
From my heart
Through my mind to my hand,
Infuse my work with spirit
To feed hungry souls.

I want to dearly share this art with others so they may be healed. I hope it brings joy and inspiration to your mind and spirit. I wish to connect with others who share the same passion and connection to all things within the creative realms. Art is what can bring what we may call complete strangers together. So I am reaching out to you fellow humans! It's time we dissolve these boundaries of false separation! Let's get together and co-create!

So without further adieu, I present to you one piece that I drew back in May. There will be many more to come and I believe they are all in some way or another a work in progress. I eventually want to introduce color to my work. I would love to know how this one makes you feel and what you all think of it. I welcome constructive criticism and comments from the peanut gallery as well!

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Remember to be well and continue to thrive in all that you do! Namaste.

P.S. If you are not familiar with Alex Grey you need to go visit his website immediately at Alex Grey Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.
